Third Party Billing For Orders With Alert Security Products

We understand that many of our customers prefer to use their own shipping accounts with preferred shipping rates to pay for the shipping on their orders. We have always offered this option to our loyal customers and continue to do so with the launch of our new website, however the process for selecting this option is set up slightly differently. For that reason, we have created this set of guidelines for how to select third party billing for your order and what types of orders are eligible for the "Use My Own FedEx Account" shipping option.

Please note that any orders that are placed that have selected to use a shipping option provided by Alert Security Products is not eligible for the "Use My Own FedEx Account" shipping option. If chosen, we will reach out to either request your FedEx account information or inform you that you will need to pay for a shipping option provided by Alert Security Products.

How to Select Third Party Billing

Selecting third party billing allows customers to use their own FedEx account to pay for shipping costs at their own negotiated rates. This is available to any customer who has a FedEx account (we currently do not support any other carriers for third party billing). 

When ready to checkout, each customer will be presented with a choice between using a shipping option offered by Alert Security Products or using your own FedEx account. If you wish to use your own account, please select that option and fill in your account information in the text box that appears. A selection must be made and the text box filled in if third party shipping is selected in order to proceed to checkout. By selecting the option to use your own FedEx account, you are acknowledging and agreeing that Alert Security Products can charge the shipping on your order to the FedEx account provided with your order. 

Example:

During the checkout process, all customers will see several shipping options, including one that is called "Use My Own FedEx Account" that seems to be free. The "Use My Own FedEx Account" option is reserved for orders that have requested third party billing and have provided a valid FedEx account for us to use. All other orders should select any of the other shipping options available to complete their order.

Example:

Any customers that select the "Use My Own FedEx Account" shipping option is expected to provide Alert Security Products with a FedEx account to be used to pay for shipping. If one is not provided, or you select that you will use a shipping option provided by Alert Security Products and you have chosen the "Use My Own FedEx Account" shipping option, we will ask that you pay for a shipping option in order for us to complete and fulfill your order.
